1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? I have always enjoyed working with people ever since I was young.

I started coaching when I was 23 and I have never looked back. I find it very rewarding and fulfilling and could not think of anything else I would rather be doing. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? Learning, studying and competing over the years has given me the knowledge to be able to give our athletes tips and tricks and focus on the little things day in, day out. 3.How do you prioritise safety and injury prevention while challenging clients to reach their full potential? Technique before load is very important and making sure clients ease into the more technical movements. 4. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? Level 2 CF and First Aid. 5. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? Having over 15 years and thousands of hours coaching under my belt it has given me the knowledge, knowing when to push clients and when to hold back, when to get them to add weight and take weight off. 6. Can you describe the atmosphere and session clients can expect when training with you? Professional coaching atmosphere mixed in with a bit of light hearted fun. I will never be a cheerleader in the hour I am coaching. I love to give tips and answer questions during a session. 7. What advice or tips would you give to someone considering starting their CrossFit journey under your guidance? Just start. Don’t put off tomorrow what you can do today. CrossFit is the best training around. We cater for all ages and any movement can be made easier depending on the ability of the person.

1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? If only everyone gave it a really good crack and stuck with the programme they would understand the overall health benefits.

It’s the closest thing to the “fountain of youth”, you just don’t see 60+ year olds outside of CrossFit with the function, mobility and handling of weight with such confidence. G-Force opened up the juniors programme from 4.5 years and we are seeing that the young ones are also reaping the benefits of CrossFit with avoiding obesity, achieving excellence in other sports, reducing common childhood injuries and gaining confidence in just everything in life. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? I use a lot of basics in warm ups coming from training a lot of children over the years that help build on movement foundations. Studying Level 3 has also helped me to go a bit deeper into workout preparation. 3. How do you prioritise safety and injury prevention while challenging clients to reach their full potential? I use the dowel a lot to explain spine mechanics. I also stress the importance of keeping equipment away from the rig with pull-ups, muscle ups or toes to bar. You just never know when a slip may happen. 4. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? CrossFit Level 1 & 2, and Kids Trainer. Certificate 3 & 4 in Fitness. Children’s Yoga Foundation & Therapy Course 5. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? I encourage members to log their workouts and stay accountable so they understand how good it feels to look back. This also mimics the feeling after the workout each day. 1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? The community at gforce is a uniquely exciting environment to be a part of.

Being able to help others in becoming one step closer to reaching their potential, or ticking off their first major CrossFit goal, it is something not many people get to be a part of. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? Knowledge transfer is a large component of coaching that I put a heavy emphasis on during the sessions. Being able to articulate your information to the client or group in a way that is easy for them to understand & incorporate into their training, plays a major factor in pushing clients to new levels. 3. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? CrossFit level 2 certification 4. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? My coaching style is based around building interpersonal relationships, where clients feel comfortable coming to me no matter the questions they have. I continuously push members based on their individual capabilities, and guide them through a lense that is focused towards attention to detail on the little things that make significant improvements. 5. Can you describe the atmosphere and session clients can expect when training with you? I foster an environment of support and encouragement during my sessions. I run the class through a detailed warm up, targeting specific areas of the body they are going to be using that day. My warm ups provide members with takeaway knowledge & movements they can perform in their own time to further increase their stability & mobility. 6. What advice or tips would you give to someone considering starting their CrossFit journey under your guidance? My biggest piece of advice would be to stay consistent in the amount of sessions you commit to each week. Ideally 3 to 4 sessions per week to keep you accountable.

1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? I like to see people push past where they think they can go… and set new limits.

2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? I try to look at movement as a whole and see if there is anything useful that I can offer as guidance. 3. How do you prioritise safety and injury prevention while challenging clients to reach their full potential? I always encourage the use of correct and safe form before advancing to the next movement, a fantastic workout can be had with scaled movements. 4. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? First aid, CF level 1 5. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? I like to get to know each client and understand what they strive for and encourage and assist any way that I can. 6. Can you describe the atmosphere and session clients can expect when training with you? Highly structured, people know that I will be there to hold them accountable. 7. What advice or tips would you give to someone considering starting their CrossFit journey under your guidance? Don’t get the Rx mentality, it will come, things take time, trust the process.

1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? I am passionate about using CrossFit and exercise as a way for people to improve their health, challenge themselves and become a better version of themselves.

I believe that a good performance in the gym will also reflect in other areas of your life. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? I love understanding about technique, motor learning and how I can teach the member to make movements that previously seemed very difficult to become possible. 3. How do you prioritise safety and injury prevention while challenging clients to reach their full potential? I believe that the coach should know the potential and limitations of each member and then direct or adapt what would be the best way to conduct training for that member. 4. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? Degree in Physical Education in Brazil CrossFit Level One Certified in WBCM Olympic Weightlifting with Oleksy Torokhtiy Certified Olympic Gymnastics With Arthur Zanetti Certified IRC CF Gymnastics Certified BSB Strong Training Programs 5. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? I believe that the members’ energy can vary from day to day, some days you are more willing and others not, but the discipline in giving your best every day will make you achieve good results. 6. Can you describe the atmosphere and session clients can expect when training with you? A balanced environment between good humor, fun and challenging. I am committed to supporting everyone in improving their performance every day. 7. What advice or tips would you give to someone considering starting their CrossFit journey under your guidance? My advice would be to enjoy the process, not be in a hurry and skip steps, prioritise the technique and value your small daily achievements.

1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force, and helping others achieve their fitness goals? I am naturally curious about; and genuinely care about people. I want to know about their goals and what they want to achieve; what makes them tick.

Unlocking people’s abilities and seeing them tick off a goal, get a PB or unlock something they could not do previously totally inspires me! I also love that G-Force is a safe space where our clients know they can grow and work on their own goals with our support. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? I love drilling down to the mechanics of movements. I have spent a lot of time participating in workshops and individually training with various experts and coaches not only to improve my own technique and movement, but so that I can pass on my knowledge to others. This experience has trained my eye and helps me help our clients nail that lift they are missing, getting a new PB, or master a new movement they have not been able to do before. It is important to me to keep learning, as our clients will get stronger and move better the more knowledge I can give them. 3. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? CrossFit Level 1 Weightlifting Level 1 certified Certificate 4 in training and assessment 4. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through workouts each day? I love people, and I love helping people. Being invested in each of our clients’ and knowing what is going on in their lives is important to me. It helps me understand when to push and what they may need from me in a workout- cues, technique or just some ‘mental happy place’. 5. What advice or tips would you give to someone considering starting their CrossFit journey under your guidance. Turn up! Just turn up. That is the hardest part. If you can just turn up, I’ll get you warm, I’ll get you moving and give you the tools and knowledge so you can reach your goals, and set new ones.

1. What makes you passionate about coaching CrossFit at G-Force and helping others achieve their fitness goals? I am passionate about CrossFit because I believe it is the most well rounded sport for overall health & fitness that can be catered for all abilities and ages.

I am passionate about coaching at G-force because I know I am surrounded by like minded coaches/athletes and members. Improving our athlete’s ability is very rewarding because I know how much it means to them. It gives me great pride and satisfaction to witness the elder generation staying strong & fit and the younger generation finding purpose in the sport and learning how to live a healthy life. 2. What unique training methodologies or techniques do you incorporate into your coaching to push clients to new levels? My training methods are to always educate our members on why they are performing our movements and what it means for them in order to stay strong and active. This will vary depending on my members goals and aspirations. 3. What certifications and qualifications do you hold? I am a certified level 1 CrossFit coach. I hold cert 4 personal training Diploma of sports injury/therapy Cert 4 trainer & assessor 4. What sets your coaching style apart, and how do you motivate clients to stay committed and push through tough workouts each day? I believe I have a harder coaching style than some. I motivate everyone individually quite well once I understand the person’s personality. This is a skill to be learnt over time. But the majority of the time I like to motivate the room collaboratively. I will reinforce a high energy and strong mindset when the workouts get tough. 5. Can you describe the atmosphere and session clients can expect when training with you? The atmosphere will be light hearted but competitive. You will leave feeling educated, inspired and motivated to turn up tomorrow to improve.
