27 Sep The G-Force Source: Its all happening
We have been super busy over the past few weeks at G-Force, both inside and outside of the box. This week we talk about PBs, half marathons, shire gymnastics, CrossFit comps and planning the big 5th Birthday party for G-Force.
Crabby, Jackie and Steve completed the Blackmores half marathon last Sunday with very competitive finishing times.
Crabby with 1:46 minutes which is a warm up for the New York marathon which he is running in a few months. Steve dominated as usual with a time of 1:39:59
Jacq finishing in the top 20 girls in her age group with 1:46.
Last Tuesday we made the trip to Shire Gymnastics where we focused on being upside down. Handstand walks, handstand holds and handstand push ups is what we did. Thanks to Meg we walked away with some great things tips and many things to practice.
Over the weekend we had 12 of our G -Force athletes compete in Riot squad 2015 in Gosford. We had 3 mixed teams compete over the two day competition. A massive shout out to; Fee who competed in her first comp, Rangi hitting a 131 clean and Jerk taking 3rd place for that event, Leo hit a 115 clean and Jerk, Seb nailed 22 Muscle ups in 3 minutes and Jimmy smashed out 12, Ali Maree man handled a 100 pound dead ball which was the size of a small bus and made it look easy, Little Lauren held her own in the relay running event and pumped out plenty of rope climbs, Kate held her own and made a solid 50 kg snatch in the max event.
Steve completed Jackie in 6:58, Megan smashed out 94 doubles unbroken. Mitto hit a massive 63 kg Clean and Jerk and kept everyone fed all weekend with her delicious cooking. We are pretty sure Anton didn’t take a shirt on the trip which made a few ladies weak at the knees, he also dominated the competition floor with 20 rope climbs and was a strong team captain.
Very proud of all you guys and the high standard you all held over the weekend.
We have set our date for the 5th Birthday on the 24th of October at Taren Point bowling club for some barefoot bowls. Kicking off at 2:00 pm. Please Confirm with Glen before Friday.
Some hard earned PBs over the past few weeks;
Sally nailed a 40kg Clean and Jerk and hitting a 57.5 front squat, Lachlan making an 85 kg split jerk and Jakki making a 77.5 kg power clean and jerk look easy. We had some impressive Front Squat PBs with Alby hitting 100, Stephan hitting 120, Little Loz 77.5, Josh making 140 and Jacob with 105.
Well done to all the crew! Everyone’s efforts continue to make us proud. See y’all in the gym!
